My Approach
My approach to therapy is to present information in a powerful, scientifically meaningful, personalized way to elicit engagement and personal investment in how base neurobiological influences affect thoughts and emotions, which convey to permanent behavioral changes. When Clients become uniquely invested in this process, it gains value, informing daily life improvement that restructure faulty narratives, alters paradigms, and provides the framework where future stimulus or environmental information will be applied.
The use of neurological, biological and developmental theories is an important piece of the mental health puzzle. These factors then honor our unique, primal psychological influences to create a valuable model for how our thoughts, emotions and behaviors are created and therefor how they can be rewritten. These higher processes engage systems that then create permanent changes.
My theoretical orientation lays the foundation for application of CBT (Cogntive-behavioral), DBT (Dialectical behavioral), solutions-focused, person-centered, trauma-informed care, and eclectic treatment modalities that use bio/neuro-feedback concepts to engage higher brain/executive processing.
Also, having 24 years airline industry, 13 years in business ownership (entrepreneurship), and 10 in real estate sales industries, gives me a broad perspective on the unique demands these industries and roles, place on their workforces which can have a impact on healthy emotional functioning.
